All installations are carried out by qualified and certified technicians in accordance with relevant industry standards (including MCS where applicable).
3. Quotes and Pricing
All quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote (usually 30 days unless otherwise specified).
Prices are inclusive of VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.
The final price may vary based on the site survey results, roof condition, system specifications, and any additional work required (e.g. scaffolding, electrical upgrades, or planning permissions).
We reserve the right to amend quotes if significant changes are identified during the survey.
4. Deposits and Payments
A deposit is usually required to secure your installation date and order equipment.
The balance is payable upon satisfactory completion of the installation, unless a different payment schedule is agreed in writing.
We accept bank transfer, credit/debit card, and approved finance options.
Finance is subject to status and credit checks. We are not a lender — finance is provided by third-party providers.
5. Installation and Timelines
Installation dates are estimates only and subject to availability, weather conditions, and receipt of all necessary approvals (planning permission, grid connection, etc.).
We will make every reasonable effort to complete the work within the agreed timeframe, but we are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
6. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate information about your property and energy usage
Grant safe access to your property for surveys and installation
Ensure the installation area is clear and safe
Obtain any necessary permissions or consents (we can advise but responsibility ultimately lies with you)
Notify us of any changes that may affect the installation
7. Guarantees and Warranties
Solar panels and inverters come with manufacturer warranties (typically 25 years for panels and 10 years for inverters and Batteries — subject to manufacturer terms).
We provide a workmanship guarantee on our installation (usually 5–10 years — details will be provided in your contract).
Warranties are subject to proper maintenance and use. They do not cover damage caused by misuse, extreme weather, or third-party interference.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract signing (for distance contracts) during which you can cancel without penalty, subject to Scottish and UK consumer law.
If you cancel after this period or after work has commenced, you may be liable for costs already incurred (equipment ordered, survey costs, etc.).
Deposits are generally non-refundable once equipment has been ordered or work has started.
9. Liability
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the contract.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and current data protection laws (UK GDPR). We will only use your information to provide the services you requested and for legitimate business purposes.
